WHAT'S NEW FOR 2014/15: The Homestead in Glen Arbor is remodeling its Snowsports School. Located at the base of Bay Mountain, the improved interior will provide a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment for visitors to learn about and purchase lesson programs. There is a small seating area, complimentary coffee and treats. The Homestead is also offering packages for families where kids 17 years old and under ski free. This package is available all season, in all accommodations with no black-out dates. (231) 334-5000.

Snowboarding: Snowboarders are welcome at the Homestead. Ride "The Wave," The Homestead's signature jump in our terrain park!

Instructional Programs: If you like to ski or ride better then the Lifetime Skills Learning Center at The Homestead is the right place. We've been teaching for 50 years and teach a lot of people who aren't still teenagers and never were athletic superstars. And remember, if you pre-register for ski programs and equipment with our Ski Express program, you can save as much as 30%.

Kid's Programs: Camp Tam-A-Rack is our newest children's activity center offering programs for kids from 2 months to 6 years of age. The Camp is full of fun things to do, from indoor and outdoor ski instruction at the Camp's own slopes for beginners, to lots of imaginative areas for play. Located in The Village, near the base of Bay Mountain.

Ski & Snowboard Rental: At the Homestead, you'll enjoy Gnomes, the most luxurious and service-oriented rental shop you'll find anywhere. To meet the needs of every level of skier and rider, it offers three complete lines of skis and boards. It also offers cross country skis, snowshoes and ice skates.

Cross Country Skiing: 6 Trails - 18km And Cross-country skiing in the adjacent Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Additional Winter Activities: Skiing is only the beginning of the fun at The Homestead. Surrounded by the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, you can don a pair of snowshoes or cross-country skis and explore miles of trails. Hike the beach. Perfect your turns on our own Fiddler's Pond in The Village. Sled with the kids. Watch an ice carving take shape as part of our holiday activities.

Dining Facilities: From an après ski cocoa and sandwich at CQ's Cabin to a lively family dinner at Nonna's, we have dining choices to please every taste.

Lodging: The Homestead's accommodation choices include small hotels, a rustic lodge, a grand inn, and privately-owned vacation homes and condominiums. They vary in size, style, location and price. Among them is a choice that's right for you, your family or group. Recreational facilities, restaurants, shops and meeting centers are available in most neighborhoods.
